Is there anyone who could tell anything about Canon PowerShot A1000IS? I want to buy this digital camera but first I’d like to hear a couple of reviews
For a budget entry level camera, the A1000 IS gets good reviews. It’s main weakness (like many other point & shoot cameras) is high noise levels in low light, due to it’s poor ISO capability. ISO 400 is about as high as you would want to go…anything higher will produce lots of noise and image degradation.
Check out the reviews in the links below…

Pretty nasty review.
Quality? Waterproof? Shockproof? Scale of 1-10?
There are 10 reviews on stuffadvisor.com

4.5 starts out of 5 based on Reviews: 10
Pros:
Sharp, clear pictures
The HD Video it records in 1080 is excellent
4x optical zoom
scene recognition pics the adjustments for the scene
smile detection automatically takes up to 6 shots when subject(s) are smiling
countless others
Cons:
The only two things I could find so far were that the Smile Detection feature doesn’t work with small smiles, and in some cases, one of the subjects had to smile very wide to activate it.
I have some english homework to write a film review comparing the older and newer films of ‘Great Expectations’…
Any help on writing a review?
Format of writing a review?
Any comparisons you have of the two films??
Anything that might help me is appreciated?
Will I notice a massive difference one general taking of photos ie at the zoo of family etc Im not that interested in making my photos any bigger than standard size
MP shouldn’t be your leading factor in choosing a digital camera. As long as you have at least 6mp there won’t really be a whole lot of difference unless you’re printing poster sized prints or larger.
If you can find a review to share with me on the web please cut and paste the link so that I can check it out.
Thank you for your asssitance.
This is an average camera. I found this link useful http://www.reviewgist.com/digital-camera/review-Kodak_EasyShare_V705_Digital_Camera
This page has consolidated reviews from multiple expert review sites. You can find 7 other review pages here

Hope that helps
I am looking for a website that reviews all of the golf laser rangefinders and compares all of them so I can tell which is best. Would be great if they also gave prices for them.
CriticalGolf.com provides extremely thorough reviews of laser rangefinders and other golf equipment. Nice to see an objective analysis of golf equipment, instead of just what the companies put in their ads, or the usual user reviews of "it’s awesome" or "it stinks."
Hello,
I am based in London, UK.
I am looking for a nice, digital camera (around £150) and I’d like to read some genuine customer reviews on digicams in England-can you recommend one or a digicam you’ve used/owned?
Thanks a lot ![]()

Any camera with at least a 3x optical zoom, uses SD memory cards and has SI if it does not have a view finder. When you have to compose and shoot at arms length, camera movement is introduced, so SI is nearly imperative.
When I try to take a picture it only turns out black, all I can see is black when the screen is on when I want to take a picture, but when I go to review the pictures that are already on the memory card they are fine.
I’m guessing that some connection is broken, but has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know what I can do?
How can I fix it because I need my camera asap?!
Thanks!
It’s not just a problem of forgetting to press the display button. I’ve done that numerous times to no avail
No nothin is broken….
