Hm, a 12MP lens? Lenses don’t have megapixels; image sensors do. And what exactly defines “studio clarity?”
Don’t get me wrong, I think Sony is a great company, but in the camcorder business, every indication I’ve seen is that they are most certainly not crushing the Canon models on the consumer segment, or the Panasonic lineup on the prosumer segment.

thats pretty similar to the Canon HV series camcorders. Seems like a pretty nice cam…I just dont like the AVCHD format as much since it a bit hard for most computers to edit since its so compressed. be worth checking out though for the HDD size and to check out the low light performance.
