How does the Intec Action Board compare to the Wii balance board?

I want the balance board seperate but its a hundred bucks with the game. I have found the Intec Board for 55 dollars on a website. I have searched the internet a little and found some not-so-favorable reviews.

Is it crap? Hoping to hear from someone who’s owned or tried one, better yet tried both.

Thanks

I got my board on two days ago. We got home late at night, and it took say three hours to get the darned thing working. Since that day we cannot get the thing to connect. We’ve tried every solution we can think of and every combination of syncing and resetting, but we can’t use it to play the games. So until we can find a solution, it’s a $70 glowing welcome mat.

However, I’ve never used an official balance board, but the night it was working it seemed accurate to me.

Get the Wii board. The game is built for it

I have the same question. From what I’ve read, it’s 100% compatible and uses the same format, so the Wii games can’t tell the difference.

What I’ve been unable to find out is whether the sensors are as accurate, if it’s as well built, etc.

From my experience, third party controllers are always crap, with either squishy or hard to press buttons and analog sticks that break. But this board is just a platform with pressure sensors under it. I have trouble imagining how they could have screwed it up.

But I’ve seen official Wii balance boards for under $70 on websites. It’s probably worth $20 for piece of mind.

I bought this a few days ago…so far, so good! I don’t have the Wii Fit Plus but I do use it with my Biggest Loser game and it works just like a regular Wii board. I think it’s a pretty good deal myself, with the exception of having to buy the Wii Fit software seperately.
