im gonna have to …
im gonna have to say, it depends on the people around you. if you know any photographers, check what they have and get that – it means you can share lenses. it’s way more efficient, plus if you both have different lenses for different purposes, you’ll find you save a BUNCH of cash.

I own one of these, and love it. ISO 1600 looks so smooth. I NEVER use the video mode, to me that isn’t the domain of SLRs even if tests show it to handle it well. I have other tools for YouTube mode.

aimanni99: I was just in the photo-shop. Recommend you do the same. Just hold both cameras in your hands. The Nikon feels much more sollid¨. The Cannon feels rather cheap, and not so good buildt.

I bought it as my …
I bought it as my first DSLR around 2 and a half months ago as my first DSLR and recently I bough a Tamron 18-270 lenses and I’m enjoying this camera a lot. May be it’s not one of those super pro ones like the D90 or something like that but it works perfect for me. I also love going to parades with it because I can use the flip screen and lift the camera above the heads of the people and still see what am I taking the picture of. I would give it 5 stars. Reliable, compact, and nice looking.
