First off Gordon, I …
First off Gordon, I am a Camera Labs fanboy!
Your reviews are unbelievably comprehensive and has helped me make decisions that has in the long run saved me cash. Thank you.
These who complain or make silly comments are just that, silly. Please by all means DO NOT STOP reviewing the Zuiko Line! Im still waiting on you to pick up the 150mm as I want to purchase her but am skeptical as there are too few reviews elsewhere.

I can’t agree with …
I can’t agree with you. You mean angle of view, but when you compare focal length you must compare lenses with this same mm range.
for example, the 50mm in N,C and O, are the same lens, but angle of view is diffrent it’s depend on image sensor size. You can’t belive in marketing slogans, i.e. that ZD 150mm f2 is the same as 300mm f2 in full frame. It’s like you shoot with 150mm lens on 35mm camera, and then make crop half on that. I hope I explane clear. (sorry I’m not so good in English;)

Sure you can. …
Sure you can. Pentax K mount lenses, Nikon F mount lenses, Olympus OM mount lenses can all be used (albeit completely manual) via adapters on fourthirds bodies. There are a lot of other mounts possible to use, the only mount really impossible to use is Canon EOS.

Hey ‘Gordon’, …
…..ZWEEKO (and that’s according to Olympus)…or are you going to be arrogant enough to say Olympus got the pronunciation wrong ? It takes a BIG man to admit he’s wrong, I guess you’re fairly ’small’.
Hey ‘Gordon’, you’re still pronouncing it incorrectly

“because the …
“because the starting is 7mm in 4/3 its starting coverage is 14mm-28mm”
Yes, but the Sigma 12-24 covers a full 35mm frame, so while the olympus is 14 at the wide end, the sigma is 12 (about 15% wider). The 7-14 is the widest lens for 4/3rds bodies, but it IS NOT the world’s widest lens.

because the …
because the starting is 7mm in 4/3 its starting coverage is 14mm-28mm while others start with 10-20mm = 20-40mm on the 4/3 body so no other lenses give the super wide angle that can cover only 7mm from start … so olympus got its widest lens

Why is it called …
Why is it called the world’s widest lens? On 4/3s it gives you the same as 14mm, but the sigma 12-24 covers 35mm or FF, so it gives a wider angle of view, making it a wider lens. The zuiko has a wider marking but so does the lens on my P&S, it’s only about 5mm.
I think that the marketing people at zuiko are taking some liberties by calling it the widest.

It’s called having …
It’s called having an accent and also how you grew up saying the word, diverdrew. Just because one way is the right way in your life doesn’t mean it’s the right way in everyone’s elses. That’s just arrogance.

It’s got nothing to …
It’s got nothing to do with where you are from, there’s a right way and a wrong way…simple as that.
Prob got a lot to do with whether you want to pronounce it correctly or not, that of course is down to the individual.

The word Zuiko ( …
The word Zuiko (pronounced as Z(u)weeko) has a dual meaning; it was invented as an abbreviation of the name of Olympus’ optical plant: Mizuho Kogaku-kenkyujo, written in Chinese, but it is also an existing ancient Chinese word that means “light showing a sign of auspicious events”. A free translation could be ‘golden light’.
It was pronounced that way (zweeko) at the Olympus HQ in Japan……maybe they got it wrong…;-)
