Who idiot seriously uses auto and says that the pics are too bright. Switch to manual and select the shutter speed and aperture yourself.

I am just getting into the whole SLR camera scene, i’m sure you know much better, but maybe you should upgrade to a higher end SLR.. to get what you want…just a thought

This has got to be …
This has got to be one of the worst cameras I ever used. don’t be fooled by the ads. This camera can’t meter bright outdoor scens right. highlites are always blow out washed out to bright call what you may. I always have to shoot -1/3 to -2/3 to get anything thats any good.
before you say I against Canon cameras I’ve been a canon user for over 40 years( slr dslrs.

I am just about to …
I am just about to buy one of these cameras but first I want to know whats the Li-ion battery like? The biggest problem ive had with cameras in the past is after 10 shots the batteries are dead (AA Bats) I know Li-ion batteries last longer but how long could you expect the batteries for this camera to last you?

it takes about 1800 pics in various shooting mods for batery to run out, without using the cameras popup llash oofcourse.
