I like this camera because it produce sharp images, very fast auto focusing, rugged looking (looks are important too don’t deny it), tough and weatherproof and the cream of the feature – 5 stops of IS. But this camera does fall short in the ISO department.

I notice the reviewer mentioned the ISO range as 100 to 32,000! It’s obviously a mistake and if anyone is looking to buy this camera, please note the ISO range is a more realistic 100-3200 :-)

    Yeah, the “Made in …
Yeah, the “Made in China” thing on the bottom of the camera is such a let down… I mean, come on. This camera was $1,700 when it came out. But these are the days we live in. China is what Japan used to be 50 years ago, with the difference that products made in China are as epensive these days as Japanese procusts. This global economy thing really sucks sometimes.

yeah i totally agree, i kinda think its cheating when people just hold the shutter then go through them and find a good one. Although if you need to do a skateboarding mag then sometimes you put all of those pictures together, and actually use all of them, so thats not cheating :P

either your just being rude or you got some problems. If you cant hear what he’s saying then maybe you should consider checking your hearing and if you still dont understand him then take some English lessons. its amazing what you can achieve by putting some effort into it, im sure you-ll understand it perfectly if you really listen to it next time.

What wouldn’t a journalist or sports pro shoot with this might I ask? I fit both discriptions and I can tell you, I am looking at adding this camera system to my Canon system for journalistic use. The were Olympus fails is offering a true pro body in that there’s a full body with grip built it. It could also use more fps, although no one should depend on 8-11fps to capture a shot.

Not every part is “made in china” my zuiko 40-150 is made in japan, and there is a big difference between chinese products and made in china products

    the review itself …
the review itself was done with a variety of lenses. the one on the camera simply happens to be the one on it at the time. incidentally, Olympus didn’t have the new swd lenses in time for review, something many magazines have pointed out in their own reviews.

Why does the reviewer use the old discontinued 14-45 lens for the review. E-3 will only perform at its best with SWD type lenses (12-60 and 50-200). Other than that the review is well done .
